Good Wit and Capacity - The History of Colfe's School
'Good wit and capacity' were the words used by the Revd Abraham Colfe to describe his scholars when he founded his school in 1652. Previous histories have described how the school developed up to 1972. Since that date the changes have been momentous and Colfe's has moved from being a much-respected grammar school to a successful independent school. Anthony's history describes in 300 pages of words and pictures the many dramatic events and developments during this period.
